Abstract

A baby changing mat consists of a plywood base (1), covered in foam and a washable fabric and surrounded by a guard (2). The guard has convenient pockets (3) for storing talc, vaseline etc. Secured to the underside of the base are a pair of collapsible legs (5). The legs have moveable sucker feet (6) to stop the mat from sliding. <IMAGE>

Description

BABY CHANGING MAT This invention relates to a changing mat for babies.
Changing mats are well known to all mothers but can only be used on the floor or a table.
My invention consists of: a changing mat with collapsable legs, which open out to fit the top of the bath, bringing the height of the mat up to a convenient level.
At the same time, with the changing mat being in the bathroom, it is more convenient for the mother to use the shower to clean the baby's behind. It is also more convenient for all the things associated with a baby, ie.
vaseline, talc, cotton buds, etc.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described.

Shows a close up of the adjustable sucker feet.
Referring to the drawing the changing mat comprises of a plywood base 1., cushioned with foam and covered with a washable fabric. Legs are extended to fit the bath.
When the legs of the changing mat are collapsed and stowed, the changing mat can then be hung on the wall.
The changing mat also has storage compartments for such things as vaseline.
The legs have sucker feet to stop the mat from sliding around on top of the bath.

Claims (7)

1. The baby changing mat comprising a changing area, collapsable legs, and a wall hang mount for stcring when not in use. The legs of the mat have sucker feet to prevent movement of the mat on top of the bath.
2. A baby changing mat is claImed 1. wherein folding legs are provided.
3. A baby changing mat is claimed 1. or claim 2. wherein the folding legs have sucker feet to prevent movement of the mat on tcp of the bath.
4. A baby changing mat is claimed 1. wherein it has a hoop on the mat for hanging it on the wall.
5. A baby changing mat is claimed 1. wherein it has a roll off guard.
6. A baby changing mat is claimed 5. wherein the roll off guard has a storage area.
7. A baby changing mat is claimed and described herein with reference to figures 1 to 4 of the accompanying drawings.
