Abstract

227,265. Woolley, A. Dec. 13, 1923. Handles.-Relates to means for attaching handles to china, glass, and like jars or other vessels. The vessel is formed with a groove or recessed portion 3, Fig. 4, within which a divided metal band 4, Fig. 1, is sprung. The divided ends of the band are fitted with internally threaded halftrunnion elements 5, 6, a complete element 8 being provided on the opposite side of the band. The handle 9 is formed with tubular sockets 10 adapted to take over the trunnions after which screwed pins 11 are engaged with the trunnions, their heads bearing against the ends of the sockets 10.
