Abstract

A Vehicle Security Wheel Clamp has two frameworks, 1, 2, which when they are fixed together around a vehicle road wheel provides a single framework which is locked together with a suitable locking device to provide a device which prevents quick and easy vehicle movement. The device also provides prevention against quick and easy removal of the road wheel from the vehicle. <IMAGE>

Description

Vehicle Security Wheel clamp This invention relates to a Vehicle Security Wheel Clamp.
Vehicle Security Wheel Clamps are devices which mainly comprise of a frame which has a provision in it for a locking device, so when the frame work is fitted around a vehicle road wheel and the locking device is fitted it isss a visual deterrent against removal of the road wheel or movement of the vehicle.
A Vehicle Security Wheel Clamp comprises of two sections of framework and a provision in the framework for the fitment of a locking device, so when the frameworks are jointed together around a vehicle road wheel and locked in place with the locking device a single frame work is created.
An example of the invention will now follow using the accompanying drawings to illustrate and provide reference.
Figure One Shows the Wheel Clamp in two separate halves on a front elevation.
Figure Two Shows the Wheel Clamp jointed together on a front elevation.
Figure Three Shows the Wheel Clamp joined together on a side elevation.
Figure Four Shows the Wheel Clamp fixed around a vehicle road wheel from a front elevation.
Figure Five Shows the Wheel Clamp fixed around a vehicle road wheel from a top elevation.
Refering to the drawings supplied, the Vehicle Security Wheel clamp comprises of two separate frameworks made from steel - figure one. When the clamp is to be used the two frameworks are placed at opposite sides of a vehicle road wheel - 7, with sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the front of the road wheel and sections 5 behind the road wheel, while sections 6 are above and below the wheel. Next, steel tube 1 is drawn into sheet tube 2 and a suitable locking device, example heavy duty padlock (not shown) can be fitted through hole 9 in tube 1 to lock the two frameworks together. This then provides an all encasing framework around the road wheel - figures four and five.
Steel sections 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 help prevent the framework being-pulled away from the front, top and side.
Sections 4 help prevent easy access to the vehicle wheel rim - 8 which contains devices for fixing the road wheel to the vehicle.
Removal is the reversal of the above procedure.

Claims (5)

CLAINS
1. A Vehicle Security Wheel Clamp comprises of two sections of framework and a provision in the framework for the fitment of a locking device, so when the frameworks are joined together around a vehicle road wheel and locked in place with the locking device a single framework is created.
2. A Wheel Clamp as in Claim 1, has sections on the framework which prevent quick and easy access to the vehicle road wheel fixing devices.
3. A Wheel Clamp as in Claims 1 and 2, has sections in the framework which prevent quick and easy vehicle road wheel movement.
4. A Wheel Clamp as in Claims 1, 2 and 3 has a provision for a locking device which prevents quick and easy separation of the two frameworks.
5. A Wheel Clamp as described herein, with reference to figures One to Five of the accompanying drawings.
