Abstract

Squares.-A Tee-square is so formed as not to require tilting or lifting by hand in order to clear projections such as drawing pins during its sliding movements over the drawing board. In one form, Fig. 3, the rear edge of the blade 1 is formed with a chamfered surface 6 which causes the blad'e to be lifted automatically over the pin 3 as the square is moved in the direction of the arrow. The front edge. 10 may be formed with a bevelled surface 11. In another form, Fig. 4, the lower surface, of the blade is formed with recesses 12, 14 which may extend partly or wholly across the width of the blade. These separate recesses may be replaced by a single recess extending over any desired part of the length of the blade.
