The tube may be externally ribbed or corrugated. The gases are taken through a tube g in a steam-superheating or other heating chamber h. The tube g may be formed with fins or corrugations and may be flattened or coiled. Feed-water is heated in the boiler casing 3 by a steam pipe 4.
