Abstract

148,612. Tod, D. V., and Caledonia Manufacturing Co. April 22, 1919. Water - tube boilers consisting of tubes 5 connected to headers, serve as a fire back and communicate with an upper container 11 also heated by the combustion gases. The water travels upward in a zig-zag direction, and then through the pipe 10 to the container 11. Between the container and the boiler is fitted a sectional heater 12 forming a back for the fireplace. The lower part of the container may be provided with a pipe communicating with the lower part of the boiler.
