Lids.-Relates to bins and other receptacles of the type in which the upper edge of the bin a has one or more holes b and the cover is provided with a corresponding number of rods h passing through the holes band attached at both ends to the cover, so that this can be lifted and pushed back but cannot be removed, and consists in providing a pronounced curved or looped part k at the inner ends of the rods to permit of the receptacle being well opened, and in securing the inner ends at or near the centre of the cover so that in the open position the cover may rest near its centre of gravity and so be easy to replace.
