Wind - screens.-A detachable side screen for motor vehicles comprises a flat frame having a. sliding panel or panels of celluloid and is supported solely along its lower edge upon the upper edge of a door or body side panel. A tubular frame A having pegs B to fit in holes in the body sides is secured to a wooden frame C which is covered with leather or fabric having a flap D<2> to exclude draughts and to which is secured a fixed celluloid panel (not shown). The celluloid panel J slides in upper and lower grooved strips H secured to the frame C and its vertical edge has a metal binding J<2> which enters the grooved strip F.
