Manure distributors.-In machines having reciprocating feeding-mechanism, the reciprocating members are provided with projections or fingers shaped so as to form scoop-shaped pockets between them, the walls of the pockets decreasing in height towards the feeding slot. The hopper may be provided with two or more feeding-devices and with one or more demountable or hinged partitions. These partitions may each consist of parts 3, 4, 5 hinged together and adapted to be moved so as to cover one of the feeding-devices, as shown in Fig. 1. The manure is fed through adjustable slots 8, 9 by fingers 6, 7 reciprocated by adjustable cams or eccentrics 11 driven by bevel gearing and a clutch from the travelling wheels. The pockets between the fingers have a base line of semielliptical or similar contour and side and back walls sloping down towards it. The end pockets are smaller than the others. The feeding-devices in the various compartments of the hopper may have strokes of different lengths and fingers of different sizes. Pins 18 are provided to scrape the points of the fingers and crush lumps.
