Abstract

224,051. Manners, A. Sept. 24, 1923. Rotary batch-mixers.- Bins for storing grain, meal, &c. are mounted on a stand in such a way that they may be turned upside down or rotated to turn or mix the contents. The bin shown is provided with short axles f resting in bearings on a stand consisting of two splayed end-pieces d connected together by stretchers g. The axles f consist of screws passing through the sides of the bin into battens c on the inside. A rod passing right through the bin may be employed instead of the screws f. The bin has a hinged lid provided with a hasp b. It may be provided with ventilation holes covered with perforated zinc. The stand may be adapted for smaller bins by sawing pieces off the endpieces. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 14278/84, [Class 58. Grain &c.], and 16230/01.
