Abstract

This invention relates to a production method of a ball stud which interposes a rubber layer (5) between an axial shaft (3) and a spherical shell (7). A spherical head (4) is formed at one of the ends of the axial shaft (3) and this head (4) is deviated towards an opening having a smaller diameter from a position desired after pressure-molding of a shell and is coupled to the inner circumference of a cylindrical shell having the openings at its both ends through the rubber layer (5). Thereafter, the cylindrical shell is deformed to the spherical shell (7) after pressure-molding both end portions. Alternatively, a spherical head (4) formed at one of the ends of an axial shaft (3) is coupled to the inner circumference of a cylindrical shell through a rubber layer (5) and the shell is deformed to a spherical shell (7) by pressure-molding both end portions. Thereafter, the gauge line (17) of the axial shaft (3) is set to a position spaced apart by a predetermined distance (L) from the center (O2) of the spherical shell and the axial shaft is tapered from the gauge line (17) towards the opposite side to the spherical head (4).
