Abstract
223,623. Democratis, J. May 23, 1923. Cabins; parachutes. - A cabin A, Fig. 3, adapted to be dropped under its own weight from an aircraft Z and to be afterwards supported in its descent by means of a parachute or the like C, is made with one or more slanting sides to facilitate its release. For the same purpose, rollers may also be provided on the sides. The parachute device may be of the kind described in Specifications 172,670, 175,308, and 199,104. A double parachute may be used, with common lines or tapes, the top parachute being greater than the one below. The cabin is held in place bv bolts a, Fig. 10, which can be pulled out bv a handle S for releasing the cabin. Specification 176,406 is also referred to.
