Abstract

The proposed method, implemented by a gas-jet installation, provides for feeding the flows of the bulk material and a gas into chambers (1, 2) for obtaining a material-gas suspension. The obtained material-gas suspension is fed to Laval nozzles (13) of arrangements (11, 12) for accelerating the material-gas suspension gradually up to a supersonic speed. Simultaneously additional gas flow jets are fed, at a speed exceeding that of the material-gas suspension flows, through diffuser nozzles (17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22), the cross-sections of which have the form of a rectangle whose larger axis crosses the longitudinal axis (34) of the Laval nozzle (13). At the moment when the material-gas suspension flow reaches a supersonic speed it is mixed with the additional gas flow and the obtained mixture is disintegrated and homogenized in a chamber (25) for disintegration and homogenization. Then the mixture is separated in a classifier (30) into a light and a heavy fraction, the latter then being recycled to the chambers (1, 2) for obtaining a material-gas suspension.
