Abstract

A tissue paper moistening apparatus, i.e. an apparatus dispensing dry or moist tissue paper from one and the same paper roll. The apparatus comprises a housing (1), inside which there are fitted a paper roll (14) and a shaft (6) thereof, a moistener (7), which is in form a flat, platelike member, the bottom surface whereof is provided with holes (16), and a plane (10) or the like located below the moistener (7). The paper web (15) to be pulled from the paper roll (14) is arranged to proceed out between the moistener (7) and the plane (10). When desired, the liquid is supplied onto the paper web (15) through the holes (16) of the moistener (7) section by section before the tissue strip, i.e. a section of the paper web, is pulled out.
