Abstract

220,979. Bryan, G. P., and Armstrong, O. E. April 30, 1923. Presses. - A hydraulically operated embossing press is provided with means for indicating the relative movement of the two pressure members b, f, consisting of a pointer p, pivoted on the member f, and on a link attached to the member b, the end of the pointer moving over a scale. The member b may be raised initially by hand, hydraulic means being used only to give the final pressure. The member b may be fixed and the head f hydraulicallyoperated, a balance weight being provided to lift the head from the work after the embossing operation.
