Reversing; idly-running stages, preventing adverse conditions in.-In a reversible turbine comprising ahead and astern sections 2, 3 on the same shaft, the three-way cocks 7, 17 for controlling the admission and exhaust of steam are connected by gearing for simultaneous operation with a cock 16 which opens a pressure-relief pipe for the idly-running section.
