Computing-apparatus. - Relates to weighing- scales of the type having a weights pan, a goods pan, and a differential pendulous resistant provided with a pointer which indicates aaginst a computing chart, and comprises the provision of a manually controlled weight and price drum adapted to be fixed to the scale housing on either side of the computing chart. The drum 15 is enclosed in a cylindrical casing 5, and is carried by a spindle 14 rotatably mounted in plates 10 secured tc the casing. The drum is inscribed with a number of columns of computations, each column corresponding to a certain weight and each computation in the column to the value of that weight of goods at a certain price. By means of a knob 16 mounted on the end of the spindle 14, the drum 15 may be rotated to bring any desired column of values into a position adjacent a fixed column of prices, both columns being viewable through a window 6 in the casing. The casing is closed in by caps 9 to which reversible attachment arms 7 are secured by screws 8. The caps are normally secured to the casing by screws 12 passing through holes in the casing and entering lugs 11 projecting from the plates 10, but when the attachment arms are arranged in their reversed position the casing is revolved to move the window 6 and the screws 12 engage auxiliary lugs 11<a>.
