Abstract

A method of measuring solid phase parameters of suspensions comprises the following operations: generation of ultrasonic oscillations and their emission into the examined medium (1), generation of Lamb waves and directing them in the wall of a reservoir with the examined medium (1), formation of acoustic currents and of radiation pressure of the sound emission inside the examined medium, as well as measurement of the pulse amplitude and duration of the ultrasonic oscillations after passing through the examined medium and of the Lamb waves after travelling over a fixed distance along the wall of the reservoir with the examined medium, without and with the acoustic currents, and radiation pressure of the sound emission and the pulse amplitude and duration values being then used for determining the solid phase concentration parameters of the examined medium. A device for implementation of the method comprises two measuring channels (I and II), a logarithmic converter (28, 41) being contained in each of them, as well as a substracting unit (47) and a dividing unit (48).
