Abstract

Supplementary glazing to reduce draughts, comprises a plastics sheet 19 mounted on a roller housed in a box 12 on a window sill. The edges of the sheet are guided in channels 17. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Detachable draught stopper/alarm This invention relates to a detachable draught stopper/alarm.
This design is so as to fit snug into the window frame, the clear plastic sheet is pulled up, thus stopping draughts so as to keep cold air out and warm air in, saving energy, warm air circulates between glass and sheet by way of the air channels.
When not in use the clear plastic sheet can be returned to the base rollers, bythetensionsprings, thus leaving the window clear and looking neat.
There are several draught stoppers which are cheap, unsightly and awkward,touse.
This model fits neatly into position, will not be noticable.
It is aimed to help old people keep warm, save energy, expence, with the added benefit of feeling secure with the alarm on if required.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing inwhich: Figure 1 Shows in perpective the draught stopper in position with the window.
Figure2Showsthe breakdown of the model.
Figure 3 Shows the end view of the model.
Referring to the drawing the model comprises of a cill bottom 10 and a box 12. Sitting on a cill, brickwork, tiles or plaster secured to the frame by screws (notshown) The channels are screwed to the edge of the windowframe as shown Figure 1.

CLAIMS 1. The draught stopper when fitted will stop draughts through window frames.
2. When fitted above a radiatorthe air channels will stop condensition on the sheet.
3. With alarm fitted it will worn of break ins.
4. Will save heat loss.
5. Will save energy.
6. Will enable old people to use with ease.
7. Could be used in doorways if required.
8. A detachable draught stopper/alarm substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1 3 of the accompanying drawning.
Amendments to the claims have been filed, and have the following effect: (a) Claims 1-8 above have been deleted ortextually amended.
(b) New or textually amended claims have been filed asfollows: 1. A detachable draught stopper alarm comprises of a cill box to contain two tension rollers with cogs, one roller to hold clear plastic sheet when not in use.
When fed under roller cogs two, then pulled up channelswill allowsheetto slide up and down being kept taught by the cogs on rollers.
Access to rollers and sheet in box will be by are- moveable cover which will slide on and off.
When fitted to window frames will stop draught.
