Abstract

218,503. Dorion, F. A. July 24, 1923. Knock-down boxes; covers.-A collapsable cheese box comprises a flexible side wall 1 consisting of staves wired together and top and bottom covers 2 having metal rims 3 which fit over the ends of the stave. The covers are secured by bands 6, which pass through loops 33 provided in the rims 3 and are nailed to the adjacent staves. The two end staves are held in alignment by slotted plates 14 projecting from the one stave and engaging nails 16 on the other stave. Apertures 10 are cut in the sides of adjoining staves to form hand-holes for carrying and to permit examination of the contents of the box.
