Abstract
218,025. Roucka, E. April 5, 1923. Testing before putting into service. -Apparatus for testing valves comprises an endless conduit in which are connected one or more of the devices to be tested and one or more standard devices, and a centrifugal fan pump, injector, &c. for maintaining a circulation of fluid. In the form shown in Fig. 1, steam from a boiler 8 is circulated by a fan 62, through an automatically-controlled, superheater 24 and meters 34, 48, the furnace draught being automatically regulated in known manner. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the endless conduit has branches 74, each containing a filter 76 or 78, and a testing instrument 80 or 82. In a further form for testing meters 106, 108, Fig. 3, a moving bell meter 120 is connected in or isolated from the circuit by valves 140, 144.
