Facing bricks, blocks, and slabs; making and finishing blocks and slabs; enamels and glazes.- Silica or refractory fireclay blocks and bricks for coke oven walls and linings for furnaces, dye vessels, and tanks for corrosive liquids are rend'ered acid and salt resisting by dipping them while plastic in a solution of a vitreous enamel or glaze consisting of seven parts Cornish stone, four parts felspar, one part whitening, one part flint, and one part plaster of Paris. The subsequent treatment is the same as in making white or coloured glazed bricks.
