Abstract

A device for fixing together two solid bodies 10, 14 one of which non-metallic, comprising an U-shaped element 10 at the free ends of which teeth 12 are formed. The non-metallic body 14 is placed inside the U-shaped element 10 and the teeth 12 of said element 10 are engaged in said non-metallic body 14. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Device for fixing two solid bodies one of which non-metallic The present invention refers to a device for fixing two solid bodies one of which nonmetallic.
In the offset printing machines, for example, the matrix plate is bent in order to be fixed to a drum; and opposite part, which helps to drag the sheet to be printed, is formed by a smooth strip of gummy material of the same width of the plate and fixed by means of metallic plates to a feed roller. In their rotary motion, the matrix plate and the strip of gummy material carry the paper sheet which is printed at the side of the click8. As it is easily comprehensible, the metallic plates must have a very limited thickness so that an excessive thickness is avoided, which would result harmful to the printing and to the conveyance of the sheet. For obtaining that, the two metallic plates are fixed on the strip by means of rivets. In order to avoid thickness variations, milling concentric to the holes are obtained on the plates, apt to receive the rivet heads.
This device for fixing the plates to the smooth strip of gummy material results very expensive because severai mechanical operations as the boring and the milling of the plates, the rivet insertion, must be executed.
These operations require much time and use several pieces, thus high costs.
It is purpose of the present invention to overcome the above described drawbacks.
The technical problem to be solved was the realisation of a simple fixing system, cheaps and of quick execution. The solution of the technical problem is characterized for the fact that said non-metallic body is placed into the other solid body formed by a U-shaped element, means being provided at the free end of said U-shaped element, apt to engage said non-metallic body.
Further characteristics and advantages will be clearlier apparent from the following description and from the enclosed drawings in which: Figure 1 is a perspective view of the fixing system of the present invention, and Figure 2 is a side section of the fixing of the two bodies.
With reference to Fig. 1 it is indicated in a general way with 10 a U-shaped element at the free ends of which teeth 12 apt to engage a gummy strip 14 are formed.
Said teeth 12 are formed in such a way as to facilitate the ingagement in said strip.
In Fig. 1 the element 10 is illustrated open, apt to receive the strip 14. When said strip 14 is placed in the inside of said element 10, a pressure on the surfaces 15 and 17 of said element 10 is exerted so that the teeth 12 engage the strip 14. In such a way a stable connection between the element 10 and the strip 14 is created and at the same time the thickness variation between said element 10 and said strip 14 is little, as the element 10 is very thin.
Another solution may be the decomposition of the element 10 in two distinct plates, but the fixing system by means of the teeth remains the same.
1. Device for fixing two solid bodies one of which non-metallic characterized by the fact that said non-metallic body is placed inside the other solid body formed by an U-shaped element, means being provided at the free ends of said U-shaped element, apt to engage said non-metallic body.
2. Device according to the claim 1 characterized by the fact that said means are teeth formed in such a way as to facilitate the engagement in said non-metallic body.
3. Device according to the claim 1 characterized by the fact that said solid body is composed of two plates, at one end of each plate teeth being made out, apt to engage said non-metallic body.
