Flexible-band files; covers. - In a loose-leaf binder of the thong type, having angular clamping-bars 4, the latter are hinged to the covers 3 by hinges each comprising a strip of metal 1 bent up along one edge to form a tubular portion 1<a>, which pivots within the angle of the clamping- bar, preferably on ball bearings 13. The tubular portion is slotted only to allow passage of the thongs, so that, when the binder is shut, the thongs are completely enclosed. The hinges are held in position by pivotal blocks 8, which fit in the ends of the clamping-bars.
