216,206. Keith & Blackman Co., Ltd., J., and Keith, G. Feb. 22, 1923. Atmospheric gas burners. -A burner head comprises a metallic cup 1 into which is screwed a tubular member 3 to form a narrow annular passage 5, the bottom wall of the cup being formed with slots 4 leading into the flared inner end of the member 3. The lateral well of the cup is provided with grooves 7 and ports 6 so that, when the cup is screwed into a carrier plate 2, which forms part of the wall of a mixing-chamber, the flame obtained at the outlet of the passage 5 ensures ignition of the main stream of gaseous mixture issuing from the member 3.
