Abstract

215,707. Toledo Automatic Brush Machine Co., (Assignees of Jobst, C.). May 7, 1923, [Convention date]. Grant of Patent refused. Bristles, fixing.-Tufts of bristles secured in holes in the stock by staples are of a size to fill the holes and each staple is of greater width than the diameter of a hole so that it is embedded in the side walls thereof. In the construction shown, the staples D are formed of round wire with the prongs crossed. The staples may be embedded in the walls by the impact of the staple driver and the brush stock may be of resilient material.
