Abstract

205,854. Fuller, D. June 29, 1922. Brushes combined with soap - holders; stocks. - A frame B, Fig. 1, formed with a projecting portion carrying a row of bristles A, is provided with a recess to hold soap or cleansing material C, which lathers the finger-tips and acts as a guide therefor when the walls are being cleaned. The soap may be adjusted by means of a hole formed in the bottom of the frame through which a finger may be inserted to raise the soap, the latter being supported, when adjusted, by transverse pegs passed through holes D. The soap may be supported otherwise by means of rigid or flexible projections or irregularities provided on the soap or on the frame, or by U-shaped springs with bent ends engaging depressions in the sides of the frame. The base of the frame may be provided with an additional brush. In the construction shown in Fig. 14, the bristles A overlap part of the soap C, which is fitted in a recess formed right through the frame B. An additional brush N may be detachably secured to the frame by means of spring catches O. Pins on the brush N engage recesses in the frame B to prevent lateral displacement. Where no additional brush is provided the soap C may be held in position by means of transverse pegs or by a rubber sheet fitting tightly in the frame B.
