Reflex-flow type.-A high-speed centrifugal separator for cream &c. is rotated by a turbine which is actuated by the liquid before it is treated. The turbine buckles 20 are of the Pelton type, with a central ridge 22 and walls 23, 24 sloped as shown, and they are provided with notches 27 at the tip to allow a free passage for the liquid jet up to the moment when the edge a cuts the jet.
