Gas cooking-stoves; boilers, arrangement of.-In a stove in which a single burner heats both an oven and a boiler from which water is delivered by the steam pressure on the steam outlet being closed, a ball or other non-return valve is arranged in the pipe connecting the boiler to the feed-water cistern in order to prevent back flow of hot water or steam to the latter. The stove shown comprises an annular boiler A beneath an oven B. Water is supplied from the cistern C by a pipe having a steam trap D<1>, there being a non- return ball-valve E, Fig. 3, at the end of the pipe adjacent the cistern. On a radial extension A' of the boiler is a vertical pipe J connected to a horizontal pipe K having outlet passages which open through the base of a steaming-tray L so as to deliver steam to steam cookers such as L<1>. A valve G in the pipe J allows it to be closed, the steam pressure in the boiler then forcing boiling water from a delivery-pipe H, whilst the valve E prevents back flow from the boiler to the cistern C. The single perforated-tube gas burner N which heats the boiler and oven may be rotated in order to heat the metal grill-plates P. The central hole in the boiler may be closed by a pivoted shutter 0 when the oven is not in use. An auxiliary gas ring R may be provided.
