Articles to be displayed, rotating supports for; illumination, changing advertisements by controlling.-A rotary vertical polygonal drum a divided into radial compartments for displaying articles has the compartments fronted by transparent mirrors e so that the articles are seen only when the compartments are interiorly illuminated. The drum a is mounted on a ring h which rides on three grooved rolls k each on a shaft l driven through gearing o, p, r, r<1>, t by a motor u. The compartments are lit by lamps z - - z<3> hidden by screens a - - a<3>. The lamps are connected to contacts x on the ring h which engage stationary contacts y to light the lamps in any required sequence. The mirrors e may bear advertisements.
