Pump - actuating mechanism.-A gas compressor comprises a series of parallel pairs' of cylinders disposed around a rotating shaft having a boss formed with a groove D formed with bevelled sides, which causes conical rollers E engaging the groove and carried from the piston pairs, to reciprocate the pistons. As shown, guide blocks F are formed on the piston pairs, and carry shafts H on which the rollers revolve; washers i are interposed between the guide blocks and the rollers.
