Table games. - A ball is driven from a pocket 3 towards a target 2 on a board 1 by means, such as the model figure 6, which moves in an arc concave in the direction of the target 3, so that the ball is engaged in a manner similar to " heading " in the game of football. The figures 6 are mounted on pivoted levers 12 operated by means of a cord 13 and pulleys 14 from a lever 17 at the front of the apparatus. A ratchet-wheel 26 is driven step by step with each operation of the lever 17, so that after a given number of attempts to strike the target 2, stops 25 on the wheel 26 are disengaged from the end of a rod 22, which then falls, allowing a detent 20 to release a pivoted arm 18, as shown in Fig. 3. The arm 18 falls into engagement with a pin 31 on the lever 17, preventing further operation of the lever till an attendant re-sets the apparatus. An indicator 26" is driven from the wheel 26. When a ball enters a goal 2 it falls into a receptacle 7, depressing a member 8 to close an electric bell circuit. The ball is returned to the board by means of an arm 10 and a cord 11. One or more figures 32 representing goal-keepers may be pivotally mounted on a slide 33, a balance-weight 34 being adjustably mounted on the supporting-bar 36. The figures 32 may be moved along the board 1 by means of cords 37 against the pull of a spring 38. It is stated that the figures maybe of other than miniature size.
