Abstract

210,643. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (General Electric Co.). Feb. 27, 1923. Overhead lamps.-An overhead electric lamp, especially adapted for industrial lighting, comprises a light-diffusing glass globe 20 enclosing an incandescent lamp 10, and a metal reflector 16 positioned over and partially enclosing the globe,. the reflector having a number of openings 21 to allow light to pass vertically upwards on to the ceiling and being supported by means of a holder 12 having spring fingers 13 engaging the lamp socket 11 which is secured to a support 24. In a modification the separate holder is dispensed with and the reflector is provided with a vertical portion for attachment to the support.
