Abstract

209,620. Grant, I. Feb. 20, 1923. Double and multiple hinges; hinges arranged to act alternatively at either side of door.-In the hinge device for doors of wardrobes and like articles of furniture, as described in Specification 189,565, the bands connecting the socket members about which the door is arranged to be swung about either side are constituted by removable strips 1 to vary the effective length of the hinge system. The strips enter slots 3 in the hinges 2 and are riveted in position at 4. Fitted to the hinge pins 5 of the intermediate hinges are pin extensions 6 adapted to engage with slots 7 in the hinge sockets.
