Piston packing.- In packing of the type comprising two split or segmental rings 4 pressed axially and radially by an intermediate wedge ring 5, the joints between the ends of the rings or ring segments are engaged by spring-pressed wedges 11. The wedge ring and the wedges 11 are expanded by spring- pressed plungers 8, rollers 10 being interposed between the plungers and the wedge ring or wedges.
