Abstract
208,380. Jackson, H. B. Dec. 19, 1922. Internally - f i r e d boilers.-Water passes from a ball-controlled valve to an upper compartment D surrounding the flue and thence by a port 0 to the jacket A from which it passes to a series of disc-like chambers E traversed by a flue F, and to a cup-shaped chamber J connected to the draw-off J<1> and the expansion pipe J<2>. Each of the disc-chambers E is constructed of two parts span to allow of their being joined telescopically. The inner lining A<1> of the jacket is indented, as at M, partly around the heater at points opposite the discs E. The pipe J<2> discharges into a pocket of the tank D, communicating with the jacket A.
