Abstract

208,276. Cooper, S. W. Oct. 3, 1922. S t o p p e r s serving secondary p u r p o s e s ; stoppers seated by gravity.-A cover for milk bottles is provided with means for removing closure discs and comprises a shaped disc c provided on its underside with one or more prongs adapted to pierce the closure disc b of the bottle and to withdraw it upon rotation of the disc c. The prongs are pointed or tapered at their ends and are curved and inclined downwards as shown to cause the disc b to ride thereon, and they are preferably formed from a single piece of material to provide a connecting portion i secured to the disc c by a rivet. h &c. The disc c has a depressed centre e and a curved annular part f to seat on the mouth g of the bottle.
