Grates.-In chain-grate stokers comprising individually renewable links 1 mounted on carrying-bars 3, the links in a transverse row are each formed with an aperture 4 penetrated by a removable locking-rod 5 secured by washers and split pins. The links are in overlapping formation and have open-ended slots 2 to receive the carrying-bars, the apertures 4 being positioned between the slots.
