Abstract

207,341. Greaves, F. A. Oct. 19, 1922. Bedsteads convertible into seats, couches, etc.; bedclothes and bedding, securing in position.-In a convertible settee bedstead, the sprung upholstery of the seat 5 is constructed on a hollow frame 1, hinged at 2 to the main frame 3, both frames 1, 3, being box-sprung so as to provide a recess or space for a continuous overlay 21. The lower part of the back 10 of the settee is also box-sprung to support the overlay. A movable swell 19 forms a wedge bolster and in the settee serves to cover the overlav. A hinged frame 6 supports the foot of the bed and when folded into recesses in the frame 1 serves to retain the bedding in position. Legs 13 and stays 15 are provided on the back frame and are housed in slots therein and in the main frame. Specification 9549/04 is referred to.
