Aug. 25 No Patent granted (Sealingfee not paid) Bedsteads, convertible into seats.-A chair, couch, &c. convertible into a bedstead &c. comprises a main frame a, a seat frame b, and a back frame c, which are adapted to be turned about hinges to form a bed as shown in Fig. 2. The back rests on struts c<2>, and the seat frame on the arm-rests b<1>. The arm-rests are provided with curved racks b<4> adapted to be engaged by a loose rod for supporting the chair back in adjusted position. The main frame a and seat frame b are of sufficient depth to provide a space between them for the reception of a cushion a<2> when the arrangement is in use as a seat.
