Abstract

In order to increase the safety of a thrower between the withdrawal of the safety pin (20) and the throwing of the hand grenade, the head of the fuse (1) is provided with a surface (5) guiding the hook-shaped part (3) which surrounds a support bolt (9) and holds in place the safety stirrup (2), this guiding surface being adapted to the curvature of the supporting portion (3) and bearing on the side thereof opposite to the support bolt (9). Further, at least one nipping device (12) as well as preferably at least one bearing surface (14) for the withdrawal ring (19) of the safety pin (20) are arranged on a side wall (26) of the head of the fuse (1) so as to provide a three point support. The two side flanges (21) of the safety stirrup (2) engage, in the area of the safety pin (20), the two grooves (22) provided in the head of the fuse (1), each between a side wall (26) and a socket (24, 25).
