Description

SPECIFICATION An automatic rocking ornaments device This invention relates to an automatic rocking ornaments device comprising a rocking body having an ornamental articles sitting thereupon and a motive device installed thereunder, a pin-rod being fitted at the base of said motive device, which drives said pin-rod periodically extending and immediately contracting to run against and rock said ornaments device making it to rock cyclically.
There have been a great number of ornaments in the market, although fascinating and colourful, yet mostly being ones. Such a kind of static ornaments lacks in a dynamic beauty and is not so attractive to many people as to induce the purchasing spree on on the part of consumers. In the respect of consumers these articles serve only as static ornaments and cannot provide a dynamic setup and a better animation -that's a pity.
Summary of the Disclosure The principal objective the the present invention is to provide an automatic rocking ornaments device simulating the rocking motion of a rocking-chair we are sitting in, and having a dynamic beauty for vivid setup and lovely animation.
These and other objects of the present invention will become more apparent from the ensuing disclosure and appended claims.
Brief Description of the Drawings Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of rocking chair with a doll sitting thereon, one of preferred embodiments of rocking body in accordance with this invention; Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of a music box with a pin assembly, a portion of which is cut out to show a cam fitting on the shaft of music box, one of the preferred embodiments of motive devices in accordance with this invention; Fig. 3 shows a schematic view of the motive devices in accordance with the present invention showing the pin-rod having been released; Fig. 4 shows a schematic view of the motive devices in accordance with the present invention showing the pin-rod in the manner for being pressed to extend out by the cam; Fig. 5 shows a schematic view of contracting back of the pin-rod and the commencement of rocking operation in accordance with the present invention; and Fig. 6 shows a schematic view of the pin-rod running against one side of a rocking chair in accordance with the present invention.
Description of the Preferred Embodiments The automatic rocking ornaments device in accordance with the present invention is to provide a lovely ornamental articles sitting on a rocking body, under which a motive device is mounted thereon. The motive device consists of a pin assembly with a pin-rod capable of periodical extending out and contractible back quickly in said motive device to push and rock said ornaments device, to thereby accomplish a cyclical movement in unison.
For the purposes of illustration, the preferable embodiment of motive device in accordance with this invention is now described by way of a music box means 10 having a driving means and that of rocking body is a rocking chair 30.
As shown in the drawings, a music box means 10 is installed on the base of a rocking-chair 30, and a doll 40 is sitting on said rocking chair and music box means 10 includes a bottom 11 and a cover 1 2. The construction of the music box means 10 is well known to the art, and the related illustrations thereof are therefore omitted. At the end of shaft 1 7 of the music rotor (not shown) is connected a cam 18, whose function is to periodically press down a pin-rod 24 as it rotates, and, in order to have a better effects of pressing and releasing, the cam 1 8 is fashioned in an arched shape as shown in Figs. 3 and 4 to render a slow contact and a quick release.
The pin assembly 20 comprises a collar 23 integrally formed with the bottom 11 of said music box means 10 and the pin-rod 24 with a conical caphead 21 on its top slidably mounted within said collar 23, and a spring 22 of suitable length which is slip over the pin 24 and the collar 23. In this manner, when the cam 1 8 rotates and presses upon the conical cap 21, the spring 22 is then compressed as shown in Fig. 4; as the cam 1 8 further rotates and offsets the conical caphead 21 suddenly so as said spring 22 to have said pinrod 24 spring upward immediately.
During use, the winding handle (not shown) in the bottom 11 of music box means 10 is first wound tight, then the music box means 10 producing pleasant musical notes. In the meanwhile, the shaft 1 7 turns the cam 18, and as the cam 18 touches the pin-rod 24, said pin-rod is pressed downward to protrude out of the music box means 1 0, and runs against one of the rocking bars inclinedly. At this instant, as said cam 18 detaches suddenly the conical caphead 21, the recovering force of depressed spring 22 is utilized to have said pin-rod 24 sprung back immediately making it withdraw into the music box means 10 so that the force running against the rocking bars vanishes and the center of gravity is thus restored, allowing the rocking-chair base to sway to and fro incessantly. In this manner the cam 1 8 continues to turn, while the rocking force of said rockingchair base gradually decreases and it will come to a standstill. The cam 1 8 turns again to the position of depressing the pin-rod 24, and the pin-rod is pressed down; it will protrude out of the music box means 10 again and run against one of the rocking bars once more. When said pin-rod 24 contracts back immediately the rocking-chair base will sway anew back and forth incessantly.
Therefore, the ornaments device rocks periodically again and again, just like a real man sitting on a rocking-chair in continuous swings -- very, very interesting.
The above embodiments are to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive since the invention may be further embodied in other specific forms, such as a variety of toys, game devices and ornaments, just having an arched base or a member which can be swayed in the manner similar to the descriptions mentioned above, without departing from its spirit or essential characteristics. Therefore, the scope of the invention is indicated by the claims rather than by the foregoing description, and all changes which come within the meaning and range of the equivalents of the claims are intended to be embraced therein.

Claims (6)

1. An automatic rocking ornaments device comprising a rocking body and a motive device having a cam means mounted thereunder, a pin assembly with a conical caphead on its top fixed in a position for being actuated by said cam means, when said cam means is rotated by said motive device, enabling a pin-rod of said pin assembly periodically to extend out of the rocking base of said rocking body to a pre-set length and then quickly contract back so as to run against and swing said rocking body, and render the amplitude of vibration smaller and smaller, and then begin to swing again the manner thereof just like a real man sitting on a rocking chair and swinging freely.
2. An automatic rocking ornaments device comprising a rocking body with an ornamental articles provided thereon and a motive device having a cam means mounted thereunder, a pin assembly with a conical caphead on its top fixed in a position for being actuated by said cam means, when said cam means is rotated by said motive device enabling a pin-rod of said pin assembly periodically to extend out of the rocking base of said rocking body to a pre-set length and then quickly contract back so as to run against and swing said rocking body, and render the amplitude of vibration smaller and smaller, and then begin to swing again, the manner thereof just like a real man sitting on a rocking chair and swinging freely.
3. An automatic rocking ornaments device according to claim 1, wherein said rocking body is a rocking chair.
4. An automatic rocking ornaments device according to claims 1-3, wherein said motive device is a music box means, one end of which is mounted a cam means, a pin assembly fixed nearby said cam means, on the top of said pin assembly being a conical caphead under which a spring means is slip over a pin-rod, said pin-rod being slidably mounted on a collar which is integrally formed with the bottom member of said music box means so that when said cam means depresses the conical caphead, the pin-rod being compressed and making the lower end thereof protrude outside of the bottom member of said music box means and when said cam means detaches the caphead, the recovering force of said spring in said pin assembly being served to withdraw quickly the pin-rod back to a position of contraction and leaving only outside of said bottom member a small section.
5. An automatic rocking ornaments device according to claims 1-4 wherein said rocking body in accompanying with said motive device and pin assembly are applied to articles of variety of toys, game devices and other ornaments.
6. An automatic rocking ornaments device according to claims 1-5 wherein said rocking body is of having an arched base or a member or a component thereof which can be swayed in the manner of swinging.
