206,896. Mitchell, F. March 19, 1923. Vehicle lamps.-An anti-dazzle device for vehicle lamps comprises a shield 2 fitting around the front of the lamp and projecting forwardly and downwardly at an angle of about 45‹ and an opaque covering on the lower portion 7 of the lamp glass or lens. The shield 2 covers substantially the upper half of the lamp front whilst the opaque covering extends upwardly so that its upper edge 8 is situated at a sufficient distance below the lower edge 5 of the screen 2 to leave a clear strip 9 of lamp glass through which light may pass without obstruction.
