Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts.] [Class 75 (iv).] Lantern screens.-A vehicle lamp 1 is provided with a front shade 4, preferably detachable, to cut off upwardly directed rays. It has an inner reflecting surface, formed by electroplating or otherwise. It may be substantially semicircular at its back edge, tapered to the front, and its top is preferably inclined downwards forwardly. It is held in position by the front glass retaining ring 2, which engages a continuous or intermittent flange 5 or a series of lugs around the back edge of the shade.
