Abstract

Hand - shears. - Shears having single or double spring bows are provided with strengthening ribs e in the bows b, the ribs being formed by corrugating or recessing the bow for a portion of its length extending from the point f where the bow meets the shank a. The back of the bow is provided with o r formed by a removable and interchangeable spring steel member c so that the strength of the bow may be adjusted to suit the operator. More than one member c may be used and members of various shapes are illustrated in the Specification.
