Abstract

206,406. Mold, W. M. Jan. 12, 1923. Drawings to Specification. Annealing-boxes. -Single-walled annealing. boxes having closed bottoms are formed with a strengthening flange at the top and, if desired, at the bottom, the flange being cast integrally with the wall. In the case of comparatively deep boxes, a strengthening flange is also provided intermediate the top and bottom. A bar may also be provided across the bottom for further strengthening the box. The annealing-vessel may comprise a single-walled box having a closed bottom and one or more open-bottomed boxes stacked thereon, the additional boxes having strengthening flanges at the top and preferably also at the bottom.
