Abstract

A flexible tube or roller has abrasive substance or metallic cutters on its outer surface and is rotatable on a non-rotatable rigid rod or tube which is shaped to a desired curve so that when the flexible tube is rotated, the flexible tube will abrade in curved surface.

Description

SPECIFICATION Variable curve sander-cutter A flexible tube or roller, to the outside of which are attached abrasive substances or metallic cutters. This tube or roller is made to rotate on a rigid rod or tube in the shape of the desired curve, thereby sanding or cutting in the desired curve. The curve can be convex or concave, or part of a curve and a flat surface. Whatever is given to the stationary rod or inner tube, the outer, rotating tube, will adopt.
1. By inserting a curved rod or tube, held stationery, from one end into the roller, it will, due to its flexibility, rotate and sand or cut in the curve of that rod or tube.
2. Held between bearings attached to the ends of the roller, it can be made to rotate and sand or cut an infinitely variable curve whilst running, by altering the angle of these bearings in relation to each other.

SPECIFICATION Variable curve sander-cutter A flexible tube or roller, to the outside of which are attached abrasive substances or metallic cutters. This tube or roller is made to rotate on a rigid rod or tube in the shape of the desired curve, thereby sanding or cutting in the desired curve.
