Grease cartridges.-In a grease gun or the like which is loaded by means of a cartridge A inseted in the bore of the gun and traversed by the piston B<2>, the end A<2> of the cartridge is flanged outwardly to form a conical bell-mouth which is located in an enlargement of the bore of the gun and is engaged' by a conical-ended spigot B<5> on the screw cap B<3> of the gun. The cap presses the outlet end A<3> of the cartridge against a washer C in the outlet cap B<6> of the gun. The cartridge is provided with end caps which are removad before insertion in the gun, the caps comprising flanged discs. The cap D at the end A' fits over the outside of the cartridge, while the cap D<2> on the bell-mouthed and A<2> engages in the bore of the cartridge. The screwed piston-rod B<8> engages a split nut B<9> which expands under the action of a spring B<10> when a flanged nut B<11> is unscrewed, thus allowing the piston to be drawn up by a simple axial movement.
