Impact pulverizers.-In a pulverizer for coal &c. of the type provided with a jacketed casing through which hot air or gas passes to dry the fuel within the mill, the jacketed space or spaces is or are in communication with the interior of the casing to allow the hot air &c. to pass into the interior of the mill and effect the further drying of the pulverized coal &c. As shown, the casing 4 is formed with double walls forming jacketing spaces 5 surrounding the pulverizing-chambers 3. Hot air &c. is introduced by a branch 6, and controllable openings 7 allow it to pass from the spaces 5 into the interior of the mill.
