Abstract

Connecting a n d disconnecting arrangements.-A vehicle direction indicator comprises two rotating discs at the rear of the vehicle each driven by a flexible shaft 2 which may be clutched to a driving shaft 6 by means of a press button 12 which slides a gear-wheel 7 into engagement with a gear-wheel 3. The disc is released after a certain number of rotations by means of a threaded sleeve 8 secured to the gear-wheel 7 which engages with a gear-wheel 9 carrying a ratchet 10 co-operating with a pawl 11, so that the gear-wheel 7 is gradually returned to normal.
